![]() I powered down, removed the battery, and let it sit for a five minutes. I rebooted again and saw the same message. I powered up and immediately after the BIOS screen saw the message Machine Check Error. #CHECK MAP LET IT DIE PC PC#So I powered down and pulled every add-on card out of the case - Creative sound card, SIIG USB 2.0, and SIIG USB 3.0 - because that message looked like the PC wanted to boot from a PCI or PCIe slot. However, in the list of bootable devices there were three entries: the CD-ROM drive, the Intel 530 SSD, and IBA GE Slot 00c8 v1365. I rebooted and pressed F10 to select the booting device because I thought everything was normal. I rebooted, entered BIOS, and pressed F9 to return to default, but after saving the system returned to the network boot screen, which kind of made sense because that was now enabled. That's strange, because I disabled network boot in BIOS, something I always do. I removed the disc and pressed Enter as instructed, but instead of rebooting the PC went to a screen I had never seen on this DZ68BC, but I have seen it on my DH67BL, the screen that indicates that it is trying to perform a network boot. It finished normally and told me to remove the disc and reboot. I powered it back up, changed the time in BIOS, and installed Zorin OS using a CD-ROM I have used a few times already. So I powered it back off and replaced the battery. I powered it off to change SSDs - I'm playing with Linux distributions - and when I powered it back on, I noticed that the time was off by hours (it might have been that way before). I was using a DZ68BC (BIOS=0028), i5-2500k, 8GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR3-1333, and Seasonic 650W PSU which has been running for about a year in its present configuration. This may be fixed in later patches but I have a feeling that they might be absent due to lag issues.I might miss mentioning a step or switch the order of events because I did not take notes. While most of the basics are here, some of the more advanced skill moves have not been ported over to 'FIFA World' yet. The in gameplay is close to ' FIFA 14' level, but it is watered down somewhat. Basically everything that is customizable in real life can be done in the game. In addition to those, you also have manager cards, coach cards, physio cards, team uniform cards, stadium cards and even a soccer ball card letting you choose which one to use in game. They include cards to train your players and improve their stats, cards that immediately heal or replenish their stamina, and even cards that you use to sign your players to contracts (hint: players will not play without one) The RPG elements come in with all the accessory cards that you can get. Either way, if you want a transcendent player on your team, you're going to have to pay through the nose for one, just like in real life. Players above 88 like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are 'Special' players and can only be unlocked via the transfer system (basically buying them from another user online) or buying card packs from the online store with FIFA bucks (which costs real money to acquire). Silver players range from 66 to 75 and Gold from 76 to 88. Bronze players are cheap and plentiful but don't offer great abilities and mostly top out at 65 in rating. The players you can acquire are grouped into four classes. If you fail to meet the minimum points you will be relegated down below.Īnd while this is not that different than your run of the mill soccer game, the hook is in the fact that you build your team yourself. If you can secure enough points, you might be promoted to the division above yours. The setup is like a traditional football pyramid, you begin at the very bottom of division 10 and you play nine matches a season. Anyone who has played the Ultimate Team mode in any previous 'FIFA' games will be instantly familiar and can jump right in. In 'FIFA World,' you start out with a basic roster of players and as you play and win matches, progressively build your team. ![]()
